UI design

When the structure of a product is settled but the interface is not yet ready for development, a separate UI design stage is needed. This applies to B2B portals, web applications, corporate websites, online stores and internal systems. At this stage we work through the visual logic of the screens: grid, hierarchy, components, states and responsive behaviour. The result has to make sense not only to the user but to the development team.
UI design removes inconsistency in the interface, duplicated elements and ad-hoc decisions in the mockups. The team gets one set of rules for buttons, forms, tables, cards, navigation and system messages. Agreeing screens gets simpler, fewer clarifications are needed during markup, and developers get a predictable structure to build from.
The work includes the visual concept, the colour scheme, typography, a modular grid and a base set of UI components. Desktop and responsive mockups are prepared for the key screens, and interactive elements get their hover, active, disabled, error, success and loading states. If the project is set to grow, we lay the foundation of a design system in Figma with components, variants and styles.
Integration here concerns not APIs but the working process between design, management and development. Mockups can be prepared for handover through Figma Dev Mode and tasks in Jira, ClickUp or Trello, and synchronised with an existing UI kit or Storybook. For projects with a frontend team we separately describe component logic, state behaviour and responsiveness requirements.
The work starts with an analysis of the page structure, existing prototypes, brand materials and technical constraints. Once the visual direction is agreed we work through the key screens, then the full set of mockups and components. The final result is handed over in Figma with organised pages, styles, components and notes for developers. Where needed we support the handoff stage, answering the team's technical questions and clarifying interface behaviour during implementation.
