An IoT platform brings equipment, telemetry, users and business systems into a single digital environment. It collects data from sites, processes it, stores it, visualises it and puts it to use for monitoring, dispatching, resource metering and process automation. Such solutions are used both for individual sites and for distributed networks, where a large amount of equipment has to be controlled centrally and current information received in real time.
Most often IoT platforms are used for metering heat, water and electricity, monitoring engineering systems, and dispatching production sites, utility infrastructure, commercial real estate and other facilities that need constant control of their operating parameters. Such systems are especially valuable in multi-site projects, where dozens or hundreds of locations have to be handled at once while keeping a single approach to management, reporting and data analysis.
We build IoT platforms with security, performance and further development in mind. Depending on the requirements of the project, the platform can run on cloud, on-premise or hybrid infrastructure. The architecture is built to stay stable as the number of sites, users, integrations and telemetry sources grows, without a fundamental rebuild of the system later.
Within the platform we implement personal accounts, a role-based access model, dispatching tools, real-time monitoring, historical data views, reporting and analytics modules. Different categories of users can have their own working scenarios, from operators and dispatchers to site managers, service contractors and analytical departments. Everyone involved works within one system and uses current data, without information being duplicated across platforms.
Considerable attention goes to working with telemetry and resource metrics. The platform can collect information from meters, sensors, controllers and other data sources, accumulate a history of resource consumption, track deviations from set parameters and produce analytics for further decisions. On the basis of the accumulated data it can generate dashboards, reports, limit-breach controls, notification systems and other tools that support the operation of the sites.
Integration of the IoT platform with the enterprise's other information systems is a separate area of work. We implement exchange with ERP, BAS, CRM, billing systems, external services and analytics platforms through APIs and other mechanisms. Data from the equipment can then be used not only for monitoring, but for automating business processes, producing management reporting, controlling resource costs and supporting day-to-day operations.
As the project develops, the platform can scale with the business: new sites, new types of equipment, additional analytics modules, mobile applications or external services. An IoT platform is then not a separate monitoring system but the basis of a single digital environment, in which data from equipment becomes part of the company's everyday business processes.
