When sales through the website depend on catalogue speed, an easy checkout and orders arriving correctly in internal systems, a standard storefront is usually not enough. A B2C store is needed when the team works with a large product range, promotions, several delivery and payment methods, and plans to run ad campaigns regularly. Particular attention goes to the buyer's journey: finding a product, adding it to the cart, checkout, payment, repeat orders and communication after the purchase.
The system covers the key processes of retail e-commerce: managing products, prices, stock, orders, customer profiles and delivery statuses. For the marketing team the store has to pass events correctly into analytics and ad accounts so the funnel, channel performance and user behaviour can be judged. On the operational side what matters is synchronisation with CRM, fast order handling and fewer manual steps when data moves between systems.
The work includes the catalogue structure, product cards, filters, search, cart, checkout, personal account, purchase history and repeat orders. We set up payment and delivery scenarios, promo codes, order statuses and user notifications. The architecture is designed with load, administration roles, payment security and further development in mind.
A B2C store usually integrates with CRM, ERP or BAS, payment services, delivery providers, email and SMS providers, analytics systems and advertising platforms. Event delivery for Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Google Ads and other channels is set up separately where they are part of the media mix. Where needed we add APIs for synchronising stock, prices, order statuses and customer data between the store and internal systems.
Implementation starts with an analysis of the current processes, the catalogue structure, the order logic and the integration requirements. From there come the technical specification, the UX scenarios, prototypes of the key pages and the system architecture. After development we test checkout, payments, integrations, analytics and load scenarios, and then prepare the store for launch and handover to the team.
